Drapolene contains benzalkonium chloride and cetrimide, which are both quaternary ammonium disinfectants with properties that are typical of cationic surfactants. This preparation is useful in the treatment and prevention of nappy rash. It suppresses the development of ammonia-producing organisms usually associated with this condition
