Adalimumab binds specifically to TNF and neutralises the biological function of TNF by blocking its interaction with the p55 and p75 cell surface TNF receptors.
Adhesive remover spray with a silicone-based, alcohol-free formulation that delivers an efficient solution for barrier removal without the sting caused by alcohol.
Simple first-line treatment for dry skin prone to inflammation. It is a highly moisturising and protective emollient, which contains an anti-inflammatory medicinal substance, nicotinamide, to help reduce inflammation and redness. Aklief cream contains 50 micrograms (mcg/g) (w/w) trifarotene, which is a chemically stable, terphenyl acid derivative with retinoid-like activity. It is a potent RARγ agonist (retinoid acid receptor γ agonist), characterized by its high specificity to this receptor over RARα & RARβ (50- and 8-fold, respectively, with no Retinoid X Receptor (RXR) activity). In addition, trifarotene modulates retinoid target genes (differentiation and inflammatory processes) in immortalized keratinocytes and reconstructed epidermis.
A cutaneous solution for acne, with each gram of solution containing 40 mg of erythromycin and 0.25 mg of tretinoin.
The Aktilite CL128 lamp with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is intended for use in photodynamic therapy in combination with Metvix (methyl aminolevulinate) cream 160mg/g. The LED array is placed in a rectangular pattern and is coupled to a matching array of lenses that produce a collimated red light beam. The lamp emits a light of high uniformity with a narrow spectrum at approximately 630nm, which can be adjusted by a control panel. The light dose used is 37 J/cm2 and is combined with Metvix cream. The dose is averaged over the treatment area. To be used with professional protective glasses and patient protective goggles
After topical application of 5-aminolevulinic acid, protoporphyrin IX (PPIX) accumulates intracellularly in the treated actinic keratosis lesions. The intracellular PPIX is a photoactive, fluorescing compound and, upon light activation in the presence of oxygen, singlet oxygen is formed which causes damage to cellular compartments of the light-exposed target cells, in particular the mitochondria.
Cream containing 5% imiquimod, an immune response modifier that is effective against viral infections and acts as an anti-tumour agent, principally by induction of alpha interferon and other cytokines.
