Dermol Wash

Dermol Wash is an antimicrobial emollient for direct application onto the skin and is suitable for use as a soap substitute. It contains 5% of emollient oils in a non-greasy aqueous system that also contains the following two antiseptics: benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine dihydrochloride. Its antimicrobial properties assist in overcoming infection, whether from Staphylococcus aureus, the pathogen that often complicates eczema and associated pruritus, or secondary infection caused by scratching. As it contains a non-ionic emollient soap substitute, the skin will be cleansed, helping to remove surface debris without removing the skin’s natural oils

Diflucan

Diflucan contains fluconazole, a triazole antifungal agent. Its primary mode of action is the inhibition of fungal cytochrome P-450-mediated 14 alpha-lanosterol demethylation, an essential step in fungal ergosterol biosynthesis. The accumulation of 14 alpha-methyl sterols correlates with the subsequent loss of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane and may be responsible for the antifungal activity of fluconazole. Fluconazole has been shown to be more selective for fungal cytochrome P-450 enzymes than for various mammalian cytochrome P-450 enzyme systems

Diprosalic Ointment

Diprosalic contains betamethasone dipropionate, a synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid equivalent to 0.05% betamethasone. It also contains 3% salicylic acid. It is active topically, and produces a rapid and sustained response in inflammatory dermatoses that normally respond to topical corticosteroid therapy. It is also effective in less responsive conditions, such as psoriasis of the scalp and chronic plaque psoriasis of the hands and feet, but not in widespread plaque psoriasis. Topical salicylic acid softens keratin, loosens cornified epithelium and desquamates the epidermis allowing more rapid access to the dermis than when applying steroid alone.

Diprosalic Scalp Application

Diprosalic scalp applications contain the dipropionate ester of betamethasone, equivalent to 0.5% betamethasone, which is a glucocorticoid synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid exhibiting the general properties of corticosteroids, and 2.0% w/w salicylic acid, which has keratolytic properties. The lotion is applied topically to the scalp in the treatment of hyperkeratotic and scaling conditions, where its keratolytic action facilitates penetration of the corticosteroid.

Diprosone

Diprosone contains betamethasone dipropionate, a synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid equivalent to 0.05% betamethasone. It is active topically and produces a rapid and sustained response. Topical corticosteroids such as this are effective in the treatment of a range of dermatoses due to their anti-inflammatory and antipruritic actions.

Doublebase Dayleve Gel

Doublebase Dayleve Gel is a long-lasting highly emollient and protective hydrating base. It may also be used as an adjunct to other topical treatments. The oily ingredients, isopropl myristate and liquid paraffin, encourage rehydration and softening of dry skin by forming an occlusive barrier within the skin surface, thus reducing drying as a result of the evaporation of water diffusing from the underlying layers.
